Our Sonic Player-of-the-game for Friday, January 13, is Daniel Mading of The Rock boys’ basketball team.
Mading scored a game-high 19 points, including 13 in the first half as The Rock defeated Oldsmar Christian, 83-63, for its 16th consecutive win. 
Mading, a senior who is receiving interest from the University of Florida, was also 8-for-9 from the free throw line and knocked down a three point shot as well. The Rock, playing at home for the first time in a month, led only 21-19 at the end of the first quarter, but outscored Oldsmar Christian 40-20 over the next two periods to pull away for another win.
