Outlook: Make it four “W’s” in a row for the Blue Wave as they head into their eighth game of the season. The Blue Wave have combined for a total of 263 points in the past four games. Unfortunately for them, their goose egg streak for their opponents ended last week after the Hornets were able to score 33 points. Quarterback Carter Kutchko has officially passed the 1,500 mark for passing yards with 1,603 yards on the season. What’s most impressive though is the senior’s completion rating at 63% with 97 completions off 143 attempts. The star-studded powerful halfback duo are still on a tear and look like they can’t be stopped any time soon. Senior running back Israel Wilcox ran for over 100 yards last game which puts him over the half a century mark with 519 total rushing yards. As for senior Pernell Sylvester, he amounted to 150 yards against the Hornets and is about to reach 600 yards with 589 total rushing yards on the season. The 1-6 Tigers will have a difficult time trying to stop this powerful and occasionally quick no-huddle offense when they travel to Blue Wave Territory.

Outlook: The season hasn’t gone the way that coach Ben Jacqmein wanted it to. It’s been a complete 180 degree flip compared to 2017 as they finished the year with an 8-3 record. Their sophomore quarterback Jacob Guthrie hasn’t lived up to expectations. (UPDATE 10/20 : According to Scott Guthrie, the young QB played the first two games of the season with a torn labrum, then had to give in to season-ending shoulder surgery). Been forced to stand by and watch his tea Junior Tyrese Jackson had to step in and command the leading role as most passes thrown and yards rushed on the entire offense. Their only win came against to respectfully one of the worst overall team in the area (Bronson), and they managed to score their most high scoring game with 37 points. The Blue Wave played Bronson earlier in the year and only allowed them successfully achieve two first downs and scored 76 points on the Eagles. The Tigers have managed to allow 179 points in total on their defense in their six losses. In other words, this will be a long night for the Tigers as they face one of the most raw talented teams in the (352) area.
