The Sonic Drive-In Player-of-the-Game for Friday, Oct. 7, was Holden Johnson of the Eastside football team.
Johnson threw two touchdown passes in the first half as the Rams built a 21-10 halftime lead and defeated visiting Ridgeview (Orange Park), 35-10, at Citizens Field.
The senior threw a 43-yard scoring pass to Jemall Dix for a 7-0 lead with 3:15 to play in the first quarter and added a 42-yard touchdown pass to Antonio Hubbert with 11:04 to play in the second quarter.
He finished 5-for-6 for 162 yards in the first half. He also added a 48-yard run in the second half.
Eastside (4-1) will travel to Newberry next Friday, Oct. 14, at 7:30 p.m.
