What do we do – We broadcast and promote high school sports in North Central Florida. From Duval County to Lake County, we cover all sports, and broadcast most sports, including games on local radio in Gainesville (106.9 FM “I am Country”) and online (audio and video).

The Prep Zone Power Poll ranks the top 20 high school football, basketball, baseball & softball teams (regardless of FHSAA classification) across 26 counties in North Florida (Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Citrus, Clay, Columbia, Dixie, Duval, Flagler, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Hernando, Jefferson, Lafayette, Lake, Levy, Madison, Marion, Nassau, Putnam, Sumter, St. Johns, Suwannee, Taylor, Union & Volusia counties). It is voted on by sportswriters and sportscasters.
Company History – ThePrepZone.com was founded by Mainstreet Daily News Sports Director Mike Ridaught in August of 2006. However, we have been serving the Gainesville & Ocala high school sports audience since 1999. The creation of the The Prep Zone’s website allowed us to expand our coverage to 26 counties.
