Outlook: The Blue Wave had an impressive outing last week against the Bronson Eagles. Not only did they accomplish their largest margin of victory in school history, but they also shut out the Eagles 76-0 at home. Nonetheless, head coach Marcus McDonald said that he’s still not satisfied with this result.
“I’m still looking for perfection out of my team,” he said. “We need to work on pre-snap infractions, offsides, and facemasks. I was writing down the penalties which were 20 yards that were not nearly as much as we had last week but it’s not clean football and we have to play clean football, period.”
Eleven touchdowns by more than five different players is a phenomenal statistic which needs to be emphasized heading into their next game against Seven Rivers Christian. Watch out for the dynamic duo of Israel Wilcox and Pernell Sylvester in their last homecoming game of their high school careers this Friday, because it most probably will be another high-scoring game.

Outlook: This season is not going as planned for the Warriors from Lecanto, FL. They’ve been outscored 92-20 in their three home games thus far. There were rumors of the program being shut down this season but Athletic Director Gary Dreyer denied it with force of action by hiring first-year head coach Monty Vann. The school was on the brink of reaching the Class 2A Final Four just last season and have completely tarnished after the announcement of former head coach Rayburn Greene’s resignation. Greene led the team to a 33-11 record in a span of four years. Plus, key players from their successful playoff runs have already graduated. But, with a 22-man roster, you can definitely call it a rebuilding season for the Warriors. They now head to P.K Yonge on Friday to play their first away game of the season.
