Buchholz (Gainesville) Bobcats
Coach: Mark Whittemore
Record: 2-2
Key Players: Terrance Young (Sr., SS), Blake Mitchell (Sr., WR), Edward Cason (Sr., RB), Jakhai Mitchem (Sr., SB), Trent Whittemore (Sr., WR, FS), Isaiah Michel (Sr., WR), Camden Orth (Sr., QB), Terrell Jackson (So., WR), Noah Keeter (Sr., DE, TE), Roderick Jackson (Sr., WR)
Outlook: The Bobcats walked out of Citizens Field last Friday with a win under their belt. But the night didn’t start off promising for the squad. The Fleming Island Golden Eagles shutout the Bobcats 19-0 in the first half. But the Bobcats would put up a fight until the very end. After overcoming the 19-point deficit, Buchholz forced the Golden Eagles into an overtime-battle. With less than a minute left in regulation, wide receiver Blake Mitchell completed a two-point conversion after QB Camden Orth connected with him for six. The Bobcats came out on top, beating Fleming Island, 38-35, after kicker Beck Warring sealed the Bobcats’ fate with a 29-yard field goal. The Bobcats are looking ahead to their next non-district match where they will travel to Belleview to take on the Rattlers at 7:30 p.m.

Coach: Adam Martin
Record: 0-3
Key Players: De’Andre Vernon (Jr.,RB), Chris Parris (Sr.,CB), Alvin Grady (Sr., RB FS), Demetrius Mccants (Fr., QB, WR), Dontavious Bowers (So., DE), Jacob Morgan (Sr., P), Xavier Moore (MLB, So.,) Sierra Harris (Jr., QB, K), Fabian Martinez (So., T)
Outlook: Belleview is still searching for its first win of the season. Last week, the Rattlers lost at Palatka, 47-7.  In fact, they have been struggling offensively under new coach Adam Martin, scoring just a combined 13 points in their three games. The lack of offense has carried over to the defensive side of the ball as they are giving up an average of 45.6 points per game. They’re hoping home field advantage will help against the visiting Bobcats on Friday. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.
