- November 25 is Jacquez Powell of the Trenton football team. Powell scored two touchdowns to help Trenton win its 21st straight home game as they advanced in the playoffs with a 17-14 win over previously unbeaten Dixie County (Cross City) in the Class 1A state semifinals. The senior gave the Tigers (11-1) a 7-0 lead with 46-yard TD run in the first quarter. He added a three-yard run in the second quarter for Trenton, which advanced to its second consecutive 1A state title game.
