This will be the Tigers second trip to Citizens Field in two weeks, opening the season on Aug. 25 with a 17-12 win over Gainesville. Columbia will reportedly start sophomore quarterback Dylan Blair over senior Davin Schuck, who has struggled in the opening two games. Blair, who will be making his first start, played the second half in Saturday’s game in Jacksonville. Senior RB Kamario Bell leads the Tigers ground attack while junior WR Nathan Maxwell has been a top target. Senior Robbie Moon is disruptive along the defensive line. Senior safety Alec Norton had two interceptions against Trinity Christian.
Sophomore QB Camden Orth made his first start for Buchholz in a 51-0 win over Eastside nearly two weeks ago, playing only the first half. Bobcats have two of the area’s top WRs in seniors Luke Whittemore and Bryan Jaszczak, and a strong RB in senior Torrey Richardson. Defensively, ‘Cats are led by defensive end Chris Rumph II and linebacker Jay Wheeler. Columbia has won seven straight in the series and 11 of the last 12, with Buchholz’s only win coming in 2007.
