The Prep Zone Power Poll ranks the top 20 high school football, basketball, baseball & softball teams (regardless of FHSAA classification) across 26 counties in North Florida (Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Citrus, Clay, Columbia, Dixie, Duval, Flagler, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Hernando, Jefferson, Lafayette, Lake, Levy, Madison, Marion, Nassau, Putnam, Sumter, St. Johns, Suwannee, Taylor, Union & Volusia counties). It is voted on weekly by sportswriters and sportscasters.

2. Trinity Christian (Jacksonville) (3) (3A) (2-1) – d. #15 Madison County, 42-7; Rasheed Martin had three TDs rushing for the Conquerors, who held the Cowboys to 1.6 yards per carry
3. First Coast (Jacksonville) (8A) (3-0) – OFF; Bucs host Atlantic Coast (Jacksonville) this Friday
4. South Sumter (Bushnell) (5A) (4-0) – d. Zephyrhills, 40-10; Raiders extend winning streak to 27 regular season games in a row for Class 5A’s top-ranked team
5. Bolles (Jacksonville) (4A) (3-1) – LOST to Raines (Jacksonville) (2-2, 1-0), 34-33, in a 4A-District 3 game, on a Vikings’ touchdown with 41 seconds to play; Bulldogs were district runners-up last year when they made a run to the 4A state title game
6. Clay (Green Cove Springs) (5A) (4-0) – d. Ponte Vedra, 48-37; Colin Wilson finished with 197 yards rushing and 5 TDs for the Blue Devils, which rushed for over 400 yards in the game
7. Fletcher (Neptune Beach) (7A) (2-1) – OFF; Next: vs. Creekside (St. Johns)
8. Trinity Catholic (Ocala) (3A) (3-0) – Forfeit win vs. Moore Haven; Celtics host 3A No. 1 Clearwater Central Catholic this Friday
9. St. Augustine (6A) (4-0) – d. #19 Bartram Trail (St. Johns), 10-7, in 6A-District 4; the win was the Yellow Jackets 16th straight in the series
10. Columbia (Lake City) (6A) (3-1) – d. Parker (Jacksonville), 37-0, in 6A-District 3; Tigers win second in a row since home loss to Lincoln (Tallahassee)
11. Dixie County (Cross City) (1A) (4-0) – d. Williston, 37-7, in a 1A-District 7 game; Bears defend No. 1 state ranking, for now. Following a bye week, they will travel to #18 Union County (Lake Butler) on Friday, Oct. 3.
12. North Marion (Citra) (5A) (2-2) – LOST to #17 Suwannee (Live Oak), 30-26, and suffered its first defeat in 5A-District 5; RB James Allen had 159 yards on only 11 carries in the first half but was shut down in the second half
13. Bishop Kenny (Jacksonville) (5A) (2-0) – d. Wolfson (Jacksonville), 41-0, in a 5A-3 district game; QB Jackson Bradley threw for 222 yards and two TDs
14. Trenton (1A) (3-1) – d. Bell, 56-13, in a 1A-6 game; defending state champion Tigers get back on track following the loss to Dixie County
15. Madison County (4A) (3-1) – LOST at #2 Trinity Christian (Jacksonville), 42-7
16. University (Orange City) (8A) (4-0) – d. Lake Brantley, 57-14; Titans give up their first points of the season but continue to roll averaging 47 points per game
17. Suwannee (Live Oak) (5A) (4-0) – d. #12 North Marion (Citra), 30-26, to move to 2-0 in 5A-District 5; Bulldogs rallied with 13 unanswered points and held the Colts scoreless in the second half
18. Union County (Lake Butler) (1A) (4-0) – d. Interlachen, 59-0; junior RB Antwan Durn broke former Tiger C.J. Spiller’s record with seven touchdowns in the game
19. Bartram Trail (St. Johns) (6A) (1-2) – LOST to #9 St. Augustine, 10-7, in a 6A-District 4 game
20. South Lake (Groveland) (6A) (4-0) – d. 6A Lake Region (Eagle Lake), 13-9, in a non-district game

Gainesville (6A) (2-2) – d. Lake Weir (Ocala), 24-6, in 6A-District 5; Hurricanes overcame 14 penalties for 140 yards; Ahmad Ivey had a 30-yard TD catch, with 29 seconds to play in the first half in building a 6-0 lead, and a 23-yard TD run
Ed White (Jacksonville) (6A) (3-1) – d. Englewood (Jacksonville), 61-13, in a 6A-District 3 game; Javarius Davis had a 70-yard kickoff for a score and a 60-yard INT for a TD
Mount Dora (5A) (3-1) – LOST to Bishop Moore (Orlando), 28-13, in a 5A-District 11 match-up; Hurricanes scored a season-low 13 points
