Outlook: The best way to be successful is to start in the trenches. The Hurricanes will have a very experienced offensive line, which should help the overall offense be much more productive than it was last year.
Hicks expects his team to be competitive since they are returning starters at key positions and have a lot of game experience coming back. On offense, the biggest question will be the signal caller. St. Fleur and Hamilton each averaged 17 yards per catch last season so there is experience in the passing game.
“We have playmakers at every position so we just need to find a quarterback to get the ball to them and we will be explosive,” said Hicks, who is putting an emphasis on toughness and discipline each week. “Our defense is as good as any around and our group of linebackers could turn out to be the best in school history.”
Carbajal (59 tackles) will anchor the front line defensively, with Farrell (104 tackles, 9 TFL) and Hunter (63 tackles), in the middle.
