Our Sonic Player-of-the-game for Monday, August 28, is Rocky DiBernardo of the Oak Hall (Gainesville) football team.
The sophomore made an impact in all three phases in Oak Hall’s 52-0 win against Florida School for the Deaf (St. Augustine). His big plays early helped give the Eagles a 49-0 lead at the half.
DiBernardo had three catches for 79 yards and two touchdowns. He also added three kick returns for an average of 20 yards per return.
He helped the defense pitch a shutout.
DiBernardo finished with two fumble recoveries and an interception.
Oak Hall returns to action on Friday, September 8, when the Eagles host the Bronson Eagles. The game will be broadcast online at ThePrepZone.com.
