P.K Yonge (Gainesville) Blue Wave
Coach: Marcus McDonald
Record: 8-1
Key Players: #1 Jacoby Byrd (JR., WR/FS), #2 Israel Wilcox (SR., RB/CB), #4 Carter Kutchko (SR., QB), #6 Pernell Sylvester (SR., RB/OLB), #7 Jacari Byrd (JR., WR/SS), #10 Quintin Williams (SR, WR), #17 Deontae Mavin (JR., WR/DB)
Outlook: PK Yonge have been on a victorious wave all season long. The Blue Wave can finish 9-1 tonight when they visit the Interlachen Rams for their final regular and district matchup game of the year. This 2018 regular season campaign can be named a sure-fire success story for first year head coach Marcus McDonald. He stepped into a leading role and gathered a 3-7 overall record team that many found as an easy win, and changed them to a group of young men who tirelessly work together on and off the field to provide stability and discipline within themselves to get positive results on Friday nights. Those efforts have resulted in an undefeated home record and a shot at home advantage come playoff time in district 4A.
Interlachen Rams
Coach: Matt Yancey
Record: 2-7
Key Players: #2 Brynden Trull (SR., QB/WR), #3 Tance Trull (SR., WR/CB), #14 Christian Marshall (SR., RB/QB/SS),
Outlook: The Rams are currently 1-5 overall in district play. Their only win comes against a defeated 0-7 overall Umatilla squad back on September 28. The Rams have yet to win at home this season. Furthermore, regarding the game tonight, it will be a tough game against the Blue Wave who are on a six-game winning streak. The 27-man roster for the Rams must give it their all to make this game a close one at Thompson Baker Stadium.
