The Sonic Drive-In Player-of-the-Game for Tuesday, Feb. 4, was K.J. Bradley of the Eastside (Gainesville) boys’ basketball team.
The senior scored 17 points as the Rams defeated visiting Newberry, 66-33. Junior Jarvy Gainey added 16 as Eastside doubled up the Panthers (10-13) to win their sixth in a row.
The Rams (16-7) will close out the regular season on Friday night against Gainesville at Santa Fe College.
Eastside will be the No. 1 seed in next week’s Class 4A-District 5 tournament at Dunnellon. The Rams will play in the district semifinals on Wednesday, Feb. 12, vs. the winner of Tuesday’s game between No. 4 seed Bradford (Starke) & No. 5 seed Keystone Heights.
