Sonic Drive-In Player-of-the-Game for February 26 – Tanner Bost (The Rock)

Sonic-logoThe Sonic Drive-In Player-of-the-Game for Tuesday, February 26, is Tanner Bost of The Rock School (Gainesville) girls basketball team.

Bost helped lead the Lady Lions to a 54-44 win against Superior Collegiate (Clearwater) in the  Sunshine Independent Athletic Association (SIAA) quarterfinals.

The freshman guard scored 15 points, grabbed seven rebounds, had six steals, and dished out two assists.  She also made 3-of-6 shots from behind the arc.Tanner Bost The Rock

Senior Julie Teasley was next with 14 points, while freshman Amari Jackson had a double-double with 13 points and 16 rebounds.

The Lady Lions (20-22), the tournament’s No. 4 seed, will play at top seed DME Academy (Daytona) in the SIAA semifinals on Friday at 2:30 p.m.

Every game The Prep Zone will recognize a Player-of-the-Game. The recipient receives a $10 gift certificate courtesy of Sonic Drive-In of Gainesville & Ocala.
