Sonic Drive-In Player-of-the-Game for Jan. 21 – Kyle Duke (The Rock)

The Sonic Drive-In Player-of-the-Game for Tuesday, January 21, was Kyle Duke of The Rock (Gainesville) boys’ basketball team.

The junior scored a game-high 28 points as The Rock defeated visiting Oldsmar Christian, 87-69. in an SIAA conference game.

Duke scored 15 of his 28 points in the second half, including three 3-pointers, as the Lions (16-7) turned a 7-point halftime lead into an 18-point win at home. He also finished 5-for-6 at the free throw line.

Senior Jalen Speer (22 points) and Duke combined for 27 points in the first half and nearly scored as many as the Eagles (9-11). Senior Kendall Latney and senior LJ Hancock, Jr., added 10 points each.
