The Sonic Drive-In Player-of-the-Game for Tuesday, January 8, is Isabella Quintana of the Eastside (Gainesville) girls’ soccer team.
It was a record setting night for Quintana.
The senior had four goals and an assist in the first half as the Rams built an early 5-0 lead. Eastside would end up cruising to a dominating 8-0 win against visiting Crystal River in a Class 3A-District 5 match.
Quintana finished the match with a school-record six goals for the Lady Rams. That gives her a total of 18 goals for the season.
It was the fifth straight shutout win for Eastside, which improved to 9-2 overall. The Lady Rams are back in action on Thursday against North Marion for another district match.
