The Sonic Drive-In Player-of-the-Game for Tuesday, September 25, was Alyssa Eckinroth of the Forest (Ocala) volleyball team.
Eckinroth led the team with 14 digs as the Wildcats rallied past Gainesville on the road to stay unbeaten in district play. It also complete the two-game sweep of the Hurricanes.
Forest trailed 26-24 after the first set. However, the Wildcats would win the next three sets, 25-23, 25-23, 25-20.
With the win, Forest improved to 13-5 overall and 6-0 in Class 7A-District 4. The ‘Cats, winners of three in a row, will travel to Belleview on Thursday.
Gainesville, which dropped to 8-9 & 2-3, will play Newberry at the Elish Bush Invitational in Jacksonville on Friday.
