The Sonic Drive-In Player-of-the-Game for Tuesday, March 16, was Brianna Boggs of the Gainesville High softball team.
Boggs drove in the winning run in the third inning as Gainesville defeated visiting Santa Fe (Alachua), 6-0, to sweep the 2-game series against the Raiders.
The senior finished 2-for-4 and two runs batted in, including a 2-RBI single in the third which drove in Ayanna Woodard and Parris Wiggs who had also singled in the inning.
GHS (8-2) will travel to Oakleaf (Orange Park) on Thursday night at 7 p.m. to face Class 4A No. 8 Clay (Green Cove Springs) at the Tournament of Champions.
