Scouting report: This is the first meeting between these two schools since 2004, when the Santa Fe Raiders beat the South Sumter Raiders in Alachua 24-21 in the 3A regional quarterfinals. Santa Fe won its first district title in 19 years and its single wing offense has caused problems for opponents. Penalties last week hurt Santa Fe’s chances for upset of 7A No. 6 Buchholz, which rallied in final offensive drive. South Sumter, under longtime coach Inman Sherman (31 years), saw its 39-game regular season win streak snapped at 5A Bishop Moore and its two regular season losses are most since 2011.
