Douglas (27-2) defeated defending state champion Miami Columbus, 3-0, to win its first title in their 23-year history.  The Eagles had to defeat 9A #1 Winter Garden West Orange, 3-2, in the state semifinals to advance.Stoneman Douglas

The Mavericks (29-2) defeated first-time state semifinalist Citra North Marion, 14-2 (5 innings), in the state semifinals.  They faced Lynn Haven Mosley (20-10) in the title game for the third time in the past four years and defeated the Dolphins, 10-4, to win back-to-back state titles, including their sixth in the past seven years.

West Orange (27-3), ranked 2nd in the state poll, finished fourth in the all-classification rankings, while Jacksonville Bolles rounds out the top five.

The Bulldogs (28-3) won their seventh state title with a 1-0 win against Miami Monsignor Pace in the 5A state title game.  They also defeated Melbourne Central Catholic, 5-0, handing the Hustlers their first loss to a Florida team this season.  Of the three losses by Bolles, none were to teams from the Sunshine State.
