Our Sonic Player-of-the-game for Tuesday, January 3, is Trent Whittemore of the Buchholz boys’ basketball team.
Whittemore scored eight of his 15 points in the fourth quarter as the Bobcats opened up the new year with a 43-39 win against rival Eastside. The sophomore hit two free throws with :59 to play to give Buchholz the lead for good at 50-49.
