Our Sonic Player-of-the-game for Tuesday, March 7, is Isaiah Wilson of the Gainesville boys’ basketball team.
Wilson scored a game-high 20 points as Alachua County defeated Marion County, 120-99, in the North Central Florida All-Star Game at Vanguard (Ocala).
The senior scored in all four quarters, including seven in the second quarter as Alachua County opened up a 57-49 lead at the half. Wilson also hit two of Alachua County’s 16 3s in the game.
He led all Alachua County All-Stars with seven points in the final quarter as Alachua County scored a game-high 32 points in the fourth.
Wilson was a senior for Gainesville, which finished 25-4 with a loss to Vanguard in the Class 7A regional semifinals. Three of the Hurricanes’ four losses were to the Knights.
