Tonight the Trinity Catholic baseball team will host Williston in a match-up of defending state champions.
Williston is the defending 1A state champion.
The Red Devils (20-2) are ranked No. 1 in the state in Class 1A. They are coming off of back-to-back shutouts of Class 6A schools Vanguard (Ocala) and Gainesville.
Trinity Catholic (Ocala) is the defending 4A state champion. The Celtics have struggled to a 10-12 record but they finished second in their district and look to defend their state title beginning next week. Tonight they step outside of league play for a big one against the top-ranked team in the Prep Zone Power Poll.
